Service of documents required under Alaska Stat. § 43.05.405 – 43.05.499 may be accomplished in any manner authorized under the Alaska Rules of Civil Procedure. If service is done only by mail, the date of service is determined by the date of mailing. If service is done by both mail and hand delivery, the date of service is determined by the earlier of the date of mailing or actual receipt of the documents.
