In pursuance of the rules and regulations of the society, and in conformity with the rules and regulations of the grand lodge, division or society from which they derive their charter, the trustees may manage, purchase, lease, hold, convey, mortgage, execute deeds of trust and improve the property of the society, including burial places owned by the society, and as trustees may sue and be sued in all matters pertaining to such property, and to claims, demands and liabilities thereof.

  • Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
  • Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
  • Property: includes both real and personal property. See Arizona Laws 1-215
  • trustees: means individuals, designated in the articles of incorporation or bylaws or elected by the incorporators, and their successors and individuals elected or appointed by any other name or title to act as members of the board. See Arizona Laws 10-3140
