Except as otherwise provided by law, the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management shall approve for all towns and cities the form of printed abstract book to be used by the assessing officials of such municipalities, provided no form of printed abstract shall be approved which does not provide for the inclusion of data concerning real and personal property assessments and exemptions related thereto in a manner which would allow the secretary to comply with the provisions of § 12-120a.
