For the purposes of this section and sections 3-22b to 3-22e, inclusive:
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 3-22a
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
(1) “College savings bonds” means general obligation bonds of the state issued pursuant to the provisions of § 3-20 or special tax obligation bonds issued pursuant to the provisions of sections 13b-74 to 13b-77, inclusive, and designated college savings bonds; and
(2) “Institution of higher education in the state” means a constituent unit of the state system of higher education, as defined in § 10a-1, or an independent institution of higher education, as defined in subsection (a) of § 10a-173.
