Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 42-270
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
(1) “Lease” means a consumer lease, as defined in subdivision (2) of subsection (a) of § 42-391, of a motor vehicle, as defined in subdivision (11) of subsection (a) of § 42-391.
(2) “Lessor” means a lessor, as defined in subdivision (10) of subsection (a) of § 42-391. Lessor shall include a holder, as defined in subdivision (7) of subsection (a) of § 42-391.
(3) “Lessee” means a lessee, as defined in subdivision (9) of subsection (a) of § 42-391.
