Whoever, being an election officer:

(1) In any manner attempts to influence, persuade, intimidate, bribe or coerce any voter in the marking of the voter’s ballot, or in the making of the choice of the persons for whom the voter votes; or

(2) Discloses the manner in which any person has voted;

  • Ballot: means those portions of cardboard, paper or other material to be placed within the ballot frames of a voting machine or to be used for absentee voting in order to list the names of the offices to be voted for, the name of each candidate and the designation of the party by which the candidate is nominated, a space for the voter to write in the name of any candidate of that voter's choice for any office, and the statement of any question submitted with provision for a "yes" or "no" vote. shall be deemed to have knowingly and wilfully violated the election officer’s own official duty, shall be guilty of wilful and deliberate perjury, and, in addition to the penalties and disabilities annexed to such crime, be fined not more than $500 and may be imprisoned not more than 2 years.
