Terms Used In Florida Statutes 163.58
- Authority: means a body politic and corporate created pursuant to this part. See Florida Statutes 163.566
- veteran: means a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service and who was discharged or released under honorable conditions only or who later received an upgraded discharge under honorable conditions, notwithstanding any action by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs on individuals discharged or released with other than honorable discharges. See Florida Statutes 1.01
An authority, as defined in this chapter, chapter 343, or chapter 349, shall provide a partial or a full discount on fares for the use of a fixed-route transportation system operated by the authority to a disabled veteran as described in s. 295.07(1)(a) who presents information satisfactory to the authority which evidences eligibility for the discount.
