Terms Used In 3 Guam Code Ann. § 18006
- Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) years, who are eligible under
§ 18003 of this Chapter to register with the Chamorro Registry, but who are not on Guam at such time as they are to be registered, may be registered by a parent or legal guardian who shall complete and submit, via certified mail, a notarized affidavit of registration to the Commission on behalf of said minor. The Commission shall require from such parent/guardian the submission of such additional information and proper documentation as will enable it to comply with this Chapter. Any change of residency shall be reported to the Commission within thirty (30) days of such change.
