- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
The comptroller shall transmit to the board with each appeal the appropriate map or plan (or a copy thereof) of the lands to be improved prepared in accordance with the requirements of § 322-22, and shall also transmit to the board with each appeal a statement of the matters and things required by § 322-22 to be noted upon or to accompany the map.
