Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 110 ILCS 660/5-105

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The fiscal year of Chicago State University shall terminate on the 30th day of June, and all reports of Chicago State University, except catalogs and circulars, shall be addressed to the Governor. Annual reports shall contain a full account of the financial and other transactions of Chicago State University at the close of the fiscal year, together with a full statement of the then condition of the endowment fund, and shall be presented to the Governor on or before the 15th day of November.
