Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 15 ILCS 17/25
- Annuity: A periodic (usually annual) payment of a fixed sum of money for either the life of the recipient or for a fixed number of years. A series of payments under a contract from an insurance company, a trust company, or an individual. Annuity payments are made at regular intervals over a period of more than one full year.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
Personnel and positions within the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity that are engaged in the performance of functions of the Office of Energy and Recycling transferred to the Environmental Protection Agency under this Act are transferred to and shall continue their service within the Environmental Protection Agency. The status and rights of those employees under the Personnel Code shall not be affected by this Act. The rights of the employees and the State of Illinois and its agencies under the Personnel Code and applicable collective bargaining agreements or under any pension, retirement, or annuity plan shall not be affected by this Act.
