Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 3501/845-35

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Under no circumstances shall any bonds or other evidences of indebtedness issued by the Authority or the Predecessor Authorities under this Act or under any other law be or become an indebtedness or obligation of the State of Illinois, within the purview of any constitutional limitation or provision, and it shall be plainly stated on the face of each bond or other evidence of indebtedness that it does not constitute such an indebtedness or obligation but is payable solely from the revenues or income of the Authority.
