  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Exemption from construction and bidding requirements for public buildings. An environmental facility is not subject to any requirements relating to public buildings, structures, grounds, works, or improvements imposed by the laws of this State or any other similar requirements which may be lawfully waived by this section and any requirement of competitive bidding or other restriction imposed on the procedure for award of contracts for such purpose or the lease, sale, or other disposition of property of the State authority is not applicable to any action taken under authority of this Act.
