Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 210 ILCS 95/32

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The provisions in this Act for fees shall not apply to an organization incorporated under the General Not For Profit Corporation Act. A copy of the latest annual report filed with the Secretary of State shall be submitted with the application form annually as evidence of such status.
