- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
An establishment licensed under this Act shall obtain and maintain all other licenses, permits, certificates, and other governmental approvals required of it, except that a licensed assisted living or shared housing establishment is exempt from the provisions of the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act. An establishment licensed under this Act shall comply with the requirements of all local, State, federal, and other applicable laws, rules, and ordinances and the National Fire Protection Association’s Life Safety Code.
