- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
Except as otherwise expressly provided for in this Act, nothing in this Act shall be construed to grant to any person a private right of action for damages or to enforce the provisions of this Act or the rules issued under this Act.
