A person who notifies the Department in writing on forms prescribed by the Department may elect to place the person’s license on inactive status and shall, subject to rule of the Department, be excused from payment of renewal fees until the person notifies the Department, in writing, of the person’s desire to resume active status. A person requesting restoration from inactive status shall be required to pay the current renewal fee and shall be required to restore the person’s license. Practice by an individual whose license is on inactive status shall be considered to be the unlicensed practice of music therapy and shall be grounds for discipline under this Act.
