  • Pleadings: Written statements of the parties in a civil case of their positions. In the federal courts, the principal pleadings are the complaint and the answer.
  • Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
     The Department, at its expense, shall preserve a record of all proceedings at the formal hearing of any case. Any notice, all documents in the nature of pleadings, written motions filed in the proceedings, the transcripts of testimony, reports of the Board and hearing officer, and orders of the Department shall be in the record of the proceeding.
