Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 225 ILCS 60/28

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Nothing in this Act shall prohibit the use of the titles “Doctor of Medicine” or “M.D.” by a person licensed in this State to practice medicine in all of its branches who has received a degree in medicine from a medical school or college, other than an osteopathic medical college, which satisfies the requirements of paragraph (a) of Section 11 of this Act, notwithstanding that such degree in medicine does not translate literally into “Doctor of Medicine” or “M.D.”.
