  • Annuity: A periodic (usually annual) payment of a fixed sum of money for either the life of the recipient or for a fixed number of years. A series of payments under a contract from an insurance company, a trust company, or an individual. Annuity payments are made at regular intervals over a period of more than one full year.
     If a Tier 2 member is receiving a retirement annuity under this System and becomes a member or participant under any other system or fund created by this Code and is employed on a full-time basis, then the person’s retirement annuity shall be suspended during that employment. Upon termination of that employment, the person’s retirement annuity shall resume and be recalculated if recalculation is provided for under this Article.
