- individual: shall include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.36
“Substitute teacher”: Any teacher employed on a temporary basis to replace another teacher. “Substitute teacher” does not include an individual employed by an entity that provides substitute teaching services under Section 2-3.173 of the School Code and is not a school district.
