Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 40 ILCS 5/21-102.19
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
“Optional medicare coverage” means coverage in the Federal Medicare Insurance Program, by means of a voluntary coverage agreement, of State or local government personnel who are in positions not covered under the Federal Social Security Insurance Program, and who were performing regular and substantial services for such State or local government on March 31, 1986, and who have not terminated such service after March 31, 1986.
