Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 55 ILCS 5/4-11002

  • County board: means the board of county commissioners in counties not under township organization, and the board of supervisors in counties under township organization, and the board of commissioners of Cook County. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.07
  • Juror: A person who is on the jury.
     The fees of each juror attending an inquest shall be fixed by the county board at a sum not to exceed $10 per inquest and not to exceed $40 per day, payable out of the county treasury, upon the certificate of the coroner or acting coroner of the county wherein the inquest was held. Any juror may elect to waive the fees paid for attending an inquest.
