Under the Illinois Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:Class | Prison | Fine |

Class B misdemeanor | up to 6 months | up to $1,500 |
Any person who violates any provision of this Division, or who makes a false statement concerning any material fact in submitting an application for a license or for a renewal of a license or in any hearing concerning the revocation thereof, shall be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor.
