Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 160/5

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The Secretary of State shall provide for a State Archives Division as a repository of State records. The State Archives may utilize space in the Archives Building or other buildings as may be necessary or appropriate for the purpose, in the opinion of the Secretary of State.
