- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
Whenever such photographs, microphotographs, reproductions on film or the result of any other process authorized by Section 2 shall be placed in conveniently accessible files and provisions made for preserving, examining and using the same, any such public officer may, with the approval of the State Records Commission, cause the original records from which the photographs or microphotographs or other permanent record have been made or any part thereof to be disposed of according to methods prescribed by law.
