Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 605 ILCS 5/3-105.1

  • Heretofore: means any time previous to the day on which the statute takes effect; and the word "hereafter" at any time after such day. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.17
  • Public law: A public bill or joint resolution that has passed both chambers and been enacted into law. Public laws have general applicability nationwide.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
  • United States: may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Except as otherwise provided in “An Act in relation to the receipt, custody and disbursement of money allotted by the United States of America or any agency thereof for use in this State,” approved July 3, 1939, as heretofore or hereafter amended, all money received by the State of Illinois from the Federal Highway Administration for the implementation of the provisions of the Federal “Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986,” Title XII, Public Law 99-570, shall be placed in the “Road Fund” in the State Treasury.
