  • Common law: The legal system that originated in England and is now in use in the United States. It is based on judicial decisions rather than legislative action.
  • Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
     The method of converting a manufactured home to real property set forth in Section 5-10 of this Act shall be exclusive, and shall supplant the common law of fixtures as it relates to manufactured homes.
