  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
     Any person, firm or corporation who solicits or persuades or permits any member of any association organized hereunder to breach his marketing contract with the association by accepting or receiving such member’s products for sale or for auction or for display for sale, contrary to the terms of any marketing agreement of which said person or any active officer or manager of the said corporation has knowledge or notice, shall be liable to the association aggrieved in a civil suit for damages; and such association shall be entitled to an injunction against such person, firm or corporation to prevent further breaches and a multiplicity of actions thereon.
