- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
A person or corporation convicted of any violation of this Act, including the execution, delivery or acceptance of a completion certificate with actual knowledge of a falsity contained therein, shall be guilty of a business offense and shall be fined not to exceed $1,000. Any person violating Section 3.1 of this Act is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
