- Bail: Security given for the release of a criminal defendant or witness from legal custody (usually in the form of money) to secure his/her appearance on the day and time appointed.
Sec. 4.1. The commissioner shall regulate a charitable bail organization (as defined in section 4.5 of this chapter) in accordance with section 4.5 of this chapter.
