Sec. 5. An individual required to file a statement under section 4 of this chapter shall file the statement as follows:

(1) With the individual’s:

  • statement: refers to the statement of economic interests required to be filed under this chapter. See Indiana Code 3-8-9-3
(A) declaration of candidacy under Ind. Code § 3-8-2 or Ind. Code § 3-8-5;

(B) petition of nomination under Ind. Code § 3-8-2.5 or Ind. Code § 3-8-6 for an office described in Ind. Code § 3-8-2-5 in a county with a separate board of registration under Ind. Code § 3-7-12 after certification by the board of registration;

(C) petition of nomination under Ind. Code § 3-8-2.5 or Ind. Code § 3-8-6 for an office described in Ind. Code § 3-8-2-5 in a county that does not have a separate board of registration under Ind. Code § 3-7-12;

(D) petition of nomination under Ind. Code § 3-8-6 for an office described in Ind. Code § 3-8-2-5 after certification by the county voter registration office;

(E) certificate of nomination under Ind. Code § 3-10-2-15 or Ind. Code § 3-10-6-12;

(F) statement consenting to be a replacement candidate under Ind. Code § 3-8-6-17;

(G) declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate under Ind. Code § 3-8-2-2.5; or

(H) certificate of candidate selection under Ind. Code § 3-13-1 or Ind. Code § 3-13-2.

(2) When the individual assumes a vacant elected office under Ind. Code § 3-13-7, Ind. Code § 3-13-8, Ind. Code § 3-13-9, Ind. Code § 3-13-10, Ind. Code § 3-13-11, or Ind. Code § 20-23-4-30. A statement filed under this subdivision must be filed not later than noon sixty (60) days after the individual assumes the elected office.
