Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 10-1010

  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.

Whenever in the statutes of this state the words “state auditor” or “auditor of state,” or words of like effect, occur, and the statute relates to general obligation or revenue bonds or to temporary notes, such words shall mean “state treasurer.”
