Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 17-1520

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

(a) The provisions of the Kansas general corporation code and all powers and rights thereunder shall apply to the corporations organized under article 15 of chapter 17 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto, except where such provisions are in conflict with or inconsistent with the express provisions of article 15 of chapter 17 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto.

(b) The provisions of this section shall be a part of and supplemental to article 15 of chapter 17 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and amendments thereto.
