Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 19-3436

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

All files, books, records, papers, documents and data of every kind in any way pertaining to elections and necessary to the proper administration of election and voter registration and now under the jurisdiction and control of the city or school officers or the county clerk in any county to which this act applies shall be transferred and delivered over to the election commissioner appointed hereunder.
