- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The members of special election boards established under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 25-1133 shall receive the same fees and mileage as is provided by law for regular judges and clerks of election. Members of such special election boards shall have and exercise all powers, duties, and jurisdiction necessary to carry out their statutory duties.
