- Complainant: means the person who files a complaint with the Kansas secretary of state under this act. See Kansas Statutes 25-4703
- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
(a) A complaint shall be made in writing and signed by the complainant under oath before a notary public.
(b) The complaint shall be submitted on a form prescribed by the secretary of state. The complaint form shall be available from the secretary of state or from any county election office.
