Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 27-121

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The concurrent jurisdiction ceded by Kan. Stat. Ann. § 27-120 is vested upon acceptance by the United States by and through its appropriate officials and shall continue so long as the lands within the designated areas are dedicated to national park purposes.
