Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 47-1305

  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.

Any person, firm, partnership, corporation, city or official of any corporation or city, violating the provisions of this act or of any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant thereto shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than $100 nor more than $500. Each day the provisions of this act or any rule and regulation made pursuant thereto is violated shall be a separate offense.
