Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 58-4124

  • Board: means the real estate appraisal board established pursuant to the provisions of this act. See Kansas Statutes 58-4102
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

Not more than two years after the effective date of this act, the board shall hold public hearings to address the question of implementation of mandatory licensing or certification of appraisers. Such hearings shall be held at such reasonable times and places as to provide adequate opportunity for input by all interested parties. At the end of the two-year period, the board will present evidence of the hearings and make a recommendation to the legislature, based upon the results of the hearings, as to whether mandatory licensing or certification should be implemented. If the board determines that the hearings show the need for mandatory licensing or certification of appraisers, the board shall draft such legislation and request its introduction by an appropriate committee of the legislature.
