Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 65-3019

  • Air contamination: means the presence in the outdoor atmosphere of one or more air contaminants. See Kansas Statutes 65-3002
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Secretary: means the secretary of health and environment. See Kansas Statutes 65-3002

Nothing in this act shall be construed to:

(a) Grant the secretary any jurisdiction or authority with respect to air contamination existing solely within commercial and industrial plants, works and shops.

(b) Affect the relations between employers and employees.

(c) Supersede or limit the applicability of any law or ordinance relating to industrial health, safety or sanitation.
