Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 65-4412

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

(a) “Community facilities for people with intellectual disability” means: (1) Any community facility for people with intellectual disability organized pursuant to the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 19-4001 through 19-4015, and amendments thereto, and licensed in accordance with the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 39-2001 et seq., and amendments thereto; or (2) any intellectual disability governing board that contracts with a nonprofit corporation to provide services for people with intellectual disability.

(b) “Secretary” means secretary for aging and disability services.
