Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 79-1113

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

Shares, shares of stock or other evidence of ownership of national banking associations and banks located or doing business within the state, and all income therefrom and the shares, shares of stock or other evidence of ownership of corporations holding stock of a national banking association or bank located or doing business in Kansas, to the extent the income of such corporation is attributable to dividends received on such stock, and all income therefrom, shall be exempt from the tax imposed on moneys, notes and other evidences of debt by Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 79-3109 and any amendments thereof.
