The General Assembly finds that it is desirable that the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the United States exercise concurrent legislative jurisdiction for purposes of criminal law enforcement over lands of the National Park System of the United States Department of the Interior lying within the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and to that end KRS § 3.255 to
3.275 provides a mechanism for the adjustment of legislative jurisdiction.

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
