Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2303
- Apiary: means the assembly of one or more colonies of bees at a single location. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2302
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of agriculture of the state of Louisiana. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2302
- State entomologist: means the entomologist of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 3:2302
The commissioner of agriculture, or the state entomologist as his designee, shall administer and enforce this Part. The commissioner shall adopt rules and regulations setting forth the requirements for apiaries and other persons interested in apiary industry in this state. All rules and regulations shall be adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act.
