Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2511

  • Board: means the Board of Examiners of Nursing Facility Administrators. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2501
  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Nursing facility administrator: means any individual who is or may be charged with the general administration of a nursing facility and who has been licensed and registered by the board in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2501

A.  The board may, in its discretion, restore a license to any person whose license has been revoked.

B.  Application for the restoration of a license shall be made in such manner as the board may direct.

C.  If a person convicted of a felony is subsequently pardoned by the governor of the state where such conviction was had or by the president of the United States, or received a certificate of good conduct granted by the appropriate governmental agency, the board may, in its discretion, on application of such person and upon the submission of evidence satisfactory to the board, restore the nursing facility administrator‘s license.
