Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 39:241

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • person: includes a body of persons, whether incorporated or not. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 1:10

           A. Not later than ninety days after the effective date of this Section, the commissioner of administration, with the approval of the governor, shall, by rule or regulation, adopt a uniform fee schedule for copies of public records of executive branch state agencies furnished to persons so requesting by custodians thereof, as provided by La. Rev. Stat. 44:32. Copies of the public record furnished to a person so requesting shall be provided at fees according to the schedule, except for copies of public records, the fees for the reproduction of which are otherwise fixed by law.

           B. Prior to the adoption, amendment, or repeal of any rule or regulation issued pursuant to Subsection A of this Section, the commissioner of administration shall submit such proposed rule, or amendment or repeal of such rule, and a report thereon to the appropriate standing committees of the legislature in accordance with the requirements and procedures established in La. Rev. Stat. 49:966.
