Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:9011

  • Corporation: means the Louisiana Lottery Corporation. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:9002
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Lottery: means any game of chance approved by the corporation and operated pursuant to this Chapter and shall not include sports wagering authorized pursuant to this Subtitle. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:9002
  • Person: means any individual, corporation, partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:9002

A.  The corporation may enter into intelligence sharing, reciprocal use, or restricted use agreements with the federal government, law enforcement agencies, lottery regulation agencies, and gaming enforcement agencies of other jurisdictions which provide for and regulate the use of information provided and received pursuant to the agreement.  

B.  Records, documents, and information in the possession of the corporation received pursuant to an intelligence sharing, reciprocal use, or restricted use agreement entered into by the corporation with a federal department or agency, any law enforcement agency, or the lottery regulation or gaming enforcement agency of any jurisdiction shall be considered investigative records of a law enforcement agency as described in La. Rev. Stat. 44:3 and shall not be released under any condition without the permission of the person or agency providing the record or information.
