  • Agency: shall include the Department of Children and Family Services, the corresponding department of any other state, and those private agencies and institutions licensed for the placement of children for adoption by the Department of Children and Family Services or by the corresponding department of any other state.   • Answer: The formal written statement by a defendant responding to a civil complaint and setting forth the grounds for defense.

  • Summons: Another word for subpoena used by the criminal justice system.
