- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. The state veterans’ facility of Michigan and the board of managers, created under Act No. 152 of the Public Acts of 1885, as amended, being section 36.1 to 36.12 of the Compiled Laws of 1948, are transferred by a type I transfer to the department of public health.
